changeyourname.co.uk is operated by Change Your Name t/a Easy Deed Polls. Our registered address is Unit 142244, PO Box 7169, Poole, Dorset, BH15 9EL. You can contact us at [email protected].
We provide a document preparation service. Specifically, we prepare unenrolled deed poll documents for individuals in the United Kingdom who wish to change their name.
We do not provide enrolled deed polls. An enrolled deed poll is registered with the Courts and Tribunals Service and is a different product. If you need an enrolled deed poll, please visit gov.uk.
While our deed polls are designed to be legally valid and widely accepted documents under English and Welsh law, we cannot guarantee acceptance by any specific organisation. Acceptance policies may vary. We include guidance with every order to help you navigate the process with major UK institutions.
When you place an order, you confirm that:
We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion, including where we have reason to believe the application may be used for fraudulent or improper purposes.
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT (where applicable). Prices are as displayed on our website at the time of ordering.
Payment is processed by Stripe. By placing an order you agree to Stripe's own terms of service. We do not store your card details. Payment must be received in full before we begin preparing your document.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders already placed and confirmed.
We aim to dispatch your deed poll within 5 working days of receiving your complete order and payment depending on the speed you chose during the checkout process. Delivery timescales for each service are estimates and cannot be guaranteed, as they are subject to Royal Mail's standard service levels.
We are not liable for delays caused by Royal Mail or any other delivery partner, or for delays caused by events outside our control. If your document is lost in transit, we will re-prepare and re-send it at no additional cost, subject to a reasonable investigation period.
You are responsible for providing accurate information when placing your order. We will prepare your deed poll exactly as specified in your order. Please double-check all names and spellings before submitting.
If we make an error in the preparation of your document that is our fault, we will correct it and re-send the document free of charge.
If you provide incorrect information that results in an error on your document, we will re-prepare it at a reduced fee of £1 per copy plus delivery. You must notify us of any errors within 14 days of receiving your document.
Because our deed polls are individually prepared custom documents, we are unable to offer a refund once preparation of your document has begun (which is typically within 1–5 working days of payment).
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 may apply. Because deed polls are personalised documents prepared to your specification, they are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right under these regulations once preparation has begun.
We will always use reasonable endeavours to resolve any issues with your order. If you have a concern, please contact us in the first instance.
